Dr. Roland Jones

Dr. Jones is a board certified Pain Management and Neurology specialist.   He is the founder of Tallahassee Neurology Specialists. 

He enlisted in the US Army Field Artillery before graduating from Georgia Military College as Valedictorian.  After earning his commission in the Army he served in the Military Police before medical school.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.  He went on to earn his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Jones completed his residency at Wilford Hall in San Antonio, TX and later served as the Chief of Neurology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.   He completed his Interventional Pain Fellowship at the University of Kentucky.  

Dr. Jones is board certified in Pain Management and Neurology.  He is an Adjunct Professor for the Florida State University College of Medicine and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Jones is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine as well as the American Academy of Neurology. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and children.  He also enjoys playing the guitar.

Dr. Rex Williams

Dr. Rex attended the University of Mississippi and earned a degree in biology. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Rex then moved to Gainesville, Florida at the University of Florida and finished his residency in Anesthesiology. He remained at UF for his Pain Management Fellowship. During that same year, he worked part-time as the Surgical Intensive Care Unit’s attending physician at the VA hospital in Gainesville. Dr. Rex then moved back to Jackson, Mississippi area where he has lived since. He has four natural children and one adopted child.  He has recently relocated to Tallahassee to join Tallahassee Neurology Specialists.

Dr. Brian Russell

Dr. Russell is board certified in neurosurgery and a member of American college of surgeons .     He is also a member of the congress of neurosurgery and American association of neurological surgery .    He previously practiced in Springfield, Illinois where he served as chairman of neurosurgery at St. John’s hospital and memorial medical center .  He served as faculty in neurosurgery and surgery departments at southern Illinois university.  Dr. Russell is the current director of Neurosurgery for Capital Regional Medical Center and covers both Tallahassee and South Georgia where he does surgeries at Archbold Medical Center   He and his wife grew up in small towns; Love to hunt, fish and play a bad round of golf.

Dr David Johnson

 We are excited to announce that Dr. David Johnson  will be joining Southeast Neurological Specialists in the summer of 2020

Dr. Johnson is originally from Philadelphia, PA where he earned a business degree at Temple University’s Fox School of business. He later returned to Temple University’s School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree.  He completed residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania then continued subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Kentucky.  

Dr. Johnson has participated in research, has been a textbook contributor and has been published in a scientific journal.  

In his free time Dr. Johnson enjoys travel, reading, sketching, and gardening. 

Abby Thorn - A.R.N.P Jones

Abby Thorn first received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida but went back to school to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from Florida International University in 1993 and began working in the medical field as a nurse for the United States Navy. She received her Masters in Science and certification as a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife from University of California San Diego and San Diego State University in 2001. After practicing Women's Health for many years, performing deliveries and infertility services, she transitioned to Pain Management. Abby trained and worked under Dr. George Arcos until she joined Dr. Jones in June of 2013. Abby is dedicated to giving her patients the best quality of care and the compassion that patients suffering from chronic pain need. She has been married for over twenty years and has three children. In her free time, Abby is an active member of Spanish Krewe in Springtime Tallahassee.

Lisa Moore, DNP, ARNP

Lisa Moore graduated from Florida State University in 1997 with a BSN in Nursing.  She went on to earn a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University.  She has broad experience in nursing, including Primary care, Intensive care, and Emergency Room medicine.  After practicing Primary care for many years and even owning her own successful practice, she has transitioned Neurology and Pain Management.  She hopes to use her experience in treating depression and weight loss to help those suffering with chronic pain.  She is married and has two children.  Her special interests outside of work are FSU football (of course), fishing and playing tennis.

Kayla Spector-P.A.-C

 Kayla graduated in 2009 from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelors of Science in physics with concentration in medical physics.  She then attended Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she received a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science.  While working in the lab, Kayla realized that she wanted to make a more direct impact on patient's lives and began volunteering as an EMT for an emergency ambulance service outside of Philadelphia.  She went on to graduate with high honors from her Physician Assistant program and received a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida.  Kayla discovered her passion for neurology while spending several months with our practice during her clinical training, and is excited to care for our patients with neurological conditions.  In her free time, she can be found enjoying Tallahassee's many parks and trails with her fiance and playing board games with friends.  

Luis Elortondo - P.A.-C

Luis was born in Argentina, where he was raised until he moved to West Palm Beach at the age of 14. He received his Bachelor's degree from FAMU and went on to graduate with a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida. After graduating PA school, Luis returned to Tallahassee. Luis brings experience from the Emergency Department to our team and enjoys performing in-office procedures to help patients manage their symptoms. While not in the office, Luis enjoys home improvement projects, outdoor sports, and is working on obtaining a private pilot license.

Annette Wilson - PA-C

Annette Wilson is a native of the Panhandle of Florida. She received her undergraduate degree at Florida State University in Human Science in 2005. She attended Physician Assistant School at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, graduating in 2007 with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. She has practice inpatient and outpatient Neurology for most of her career. Special interest includes Stroke management, Migraine headaches, and Multiple Sclerosis. After spending some time in the southwest, she has recently returned back to Tallahassee to join Southeast Neurology Specialist. Outside of work she enjoys being active, swimming, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Makai.

Brett Allen- CEO

 Brett received his undergraduate degree in business management and has spent the last 20+ years in the Financial Services Industry, with many of those years focused on the medical field.  Brett loves spending time with his wife and two children.  In his free time Brett enjoys golf, fishing, FSU football and taking trips to the Georgia Mountains.  Brett and his family relocated to Tallahassee five years ago and they fell in love with the city.
