Dr. Roland Jones

Pain Management and Neurology

Dr. Jones is a board certified Pain Management and Neurology specialist. He is the founder of Tallahassee Neurology Specialists. He enlisted in the US Army Field Artillery before graduating from Georgia Military College as Valedictorian. After earning his commission in the Army he served in the Military Police before medical school. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Jones completed his residency at Wilford Hall in San Antonio, TX and later served as the Chief of Neurology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He completed his Interventional Pain Fellowship at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Jones is board certified in Pain Management and Neurology. He is an Adjunct Professor for the Florida State University College of Medicine and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Jones is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine as well as the American Academy of Neurology. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys playing the guitar.

Dr. Rex Williams

Dr. Rex attended the University of Mississippi and earned a degree in biology. He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Rex then moved to Gainesville, Florida at the University of Florida and finished his residency in Anesthesiology. He remained at UF for his Pain Management Fellowship. During that same year, he worked part-time as the Surgical Intensive Care Unit’s attending physician at the VA hospital in Gainesville. Dr. Rex then moved back to Jackson, Mississippi area where he has lived since. Dr. David Johnson

We are excited to announce that Dr. David Johnson will be joining Southeast Neurological Specialists in the summer of 2020 Dr. Johnson is originally from Philadelphia, PA where he earned a business degree at Temple University’s Fox School of business. He later returned to Temple University’s School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree. He completed residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania then continued subspecialty fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Johnson has participated in research, has been a textbook contributor and has been published in a scientific journal. In his free time Dr. Johnson enjoys travel, reading, sketching, and gardening.

Dr. Timothy H. Ward

Dr. Ward is Board Certified by the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and by the American Board of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Ward is a South Georgia native raised in Sale City (Mitchell County). He attended Valdosta State College graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BS Degree in Biology and Chemistry (top 1% of his class). He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA in 1980. He completed his Internship and Residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Georgia. After Residency, he became a clinical faculty member in the Department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Ward practiced Anesthesiology for 25 years with South GA Anesthesia Associates at Archbold Hospital. He found a need in this area for pain management in early 2000 and began practicing interventional pain medicine. He formed Interventional Pain Management of South GA dba Thomasville Pain Center in 2008. Dr. Ward is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He has always been an active member of the community and the Archbold Hospital Staff. He served as Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology, Chairman of the Surgery/Anesthesiology Section, the Medical Executive Board, and Archbold Chief of Staff 2005-2006 among other commitments. Dr. Ward has been a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1984, has four children, and three grandchildren. He continues to enjoy the rural lifestyle of the Thomasville area that includes family, fishing, farming, tennis, and hunting.

Abby Thorn - A.R.N.P Jones

Abby Thorn first received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida but went back to school to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from Florida International University in 1993 and began working in the medical field as a nurse for the United States Navy. She received her Masters in Science and certification as a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife from University of California San Diego and San Diego State University in 2001. After practicing Women's Health for many years, performing deliveries and infertility services, she transitioned to Pain Management. Abby trained and worked under Dr. George Arcos until she joined Dr. Jones in June of 2013. Abby is dedicated to giving her patients the best quality of care and the compassion that patients suffering from chronic pain need. She has been married for over twenty years and has three children. In her free time, Abby is an active member of Spanish Krewe in Springtime Tallahassee.

Jessica is a native to Moultrie, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in December 2006. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University in May 2014. While obtaining her degrees at VSU, she was a member of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International. She is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed by the state of Georgia. Jessica previously worked as a registered nurse at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, where her experience included labor and delivery, nursery, and postpartum. She also has experience working as a registered nurse at Baddour Urology Center in Moultrie, Georgia. Jessica is married to her high school sweetheart, Shaun and they have 3 children, Ava, Carter, and Brantley. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Jessica joined Thomasville Pain Center in summer of 2014. She is excited to be part of such a caring and collaborative team. She is looking forward to providing holistic and compassionate care to those patients living with chronic pain.

Ashley is a native to Hartsfield, Georgia. She attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where she played collegiate tennis. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University in 2007. In 2010, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University. In 2014, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing in Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgia Southern University. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed by the state of Georgia. Ashley previously worked as a registered nurse at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, where she obtained experiences as a labor and delivery, nursery, and postpartum nurse. Luis was born in Argentina, where he was raised until he moved to West Palm Beach at the age of 14. He received his Bachelor's degree from FAMU and went on to graduate with a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida. After graduating PA school, Luis returned to Tallahassee. Luis brings experience from the Emergency Department to our team and enjoys performing in-office procedures to help patients manage their symptoms. While not in the office, Luis enjoys home improvement projects, outdoor sports, and is working on obtaining a private pilot license.

Regenia is a native to Cairo, Georgia. She earned her Associate Degree of Arts in Nursing from Southwestern University in 1984, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013, and Master of Science in Nursing from South University in 2016. While obtaining her degree at Southwestern University, she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. She is a current member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Regenia previously worked as a Registered Nurse at Archbold Hospital, where her experience included working in both the PACU and Medical/Surgical Unit. She also has experience working as a Registered Nurse at Hospice of SW Georgia, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center, and GA Lions Camp for the Blind. Regenia was also a previous Clinical Instructor with Bainbridge State College. Regenia enjoys the outdoors, beach, and family. She loves caring for people, the profession of Nursing, and being a host to Rescue for Animals. Regenia joined TPC in 2016. She is excited to be part of such a caring and collaborative team. Jodi L’Heureux is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Southeast Neurological Specialists with a focus on Neurosurgery. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University in 2016 and worked as a Registered Nurse for eight years in emergency room and medical surgical areas of the hospital. While in nursing she was most comfortable taking care of the most complex patients in intensive care and those with neurological concerns. She was chosen as the Nurse Leader of the Year for Chippenham and Johnston Willis hospital in 2017. Her love of nursing pushed her to continue her education at the George Washington University where she earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society there and graduated top of her class. Jodi relocated from Virginia to join the Southeast Neurological team in 2020. She married her high school sweetheart after a long courtship and is now raising two growing boys and 2 very large dogs. When she’s not working Jodi enjoys spending time with her family exploring Tallahassee, biking, hiking, swimming and spending time at the beach.

Joselyn worked in an emergency room and level 2 trauma center for 5 years. While working full time she pursued her Master’s Degree in Nursing, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner. This education and background has led her to a career which allows her to connect with patients and provide for the entirety of their care. Joselyn was born and raised in Panama City, Florida and moved to Tallahassee in 2013 when she got married. When she’s not working she loves to spend time with her husband, her new baby, and her 3 dogs. She is an avid reader and also enjoys lifting weights, baking, and being outdoors.

Kayla graduated in 2009 from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelors of Science in physics with concentration in medical physics. She then attended Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she received a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science. While working in the lab, Kayla realized that she wanted to make a more direct impact on patient's lives and began volunteering as an EMT for an emergency ambulance service outside of Philadelphia. She went on to graduate with high honors from her Physician Assistant program and received a Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida. Kayla discovered her passion for neurology while spending several months with our practice during her clinical training, and is excited to care for our patients with neurological conditions. Annette Wilson is a native of the Panhandle of Florida. She received her undergraduate degree at Florida State University in Human Science in 2005.
